You are now ready to start using the power of SOLIDWORKS PDM with your DraftSight application. With the PDM add-in turned on you will see the PDM tab added to the ribbon bar as well as the quick access menu in the top right corner of the interface. You will need to be in the Drafting and Annotation workspace to see the Manage tab for the add-ins. If you are not seeing the Manage option in the ribbon bar the please note workspace settings in the top right corner of your DraftSight application. To activate the add-in from within DraftSight, go to Manage > Add-ins, and activate SOLIDWORKS PDM add-in. Once you have the PDM add-in and DraftSight both installed you need to turn on the application in DraftSight. If we drag the Dispatch icon on to the Add-Ins tab, then then we should see it under the Add-Ins drop down. If we drag the dispatch add on to the vault icon, it should show up in the admin tool. Note: When you set the Client Options make sure you check on the DraftSight add-in as in the image below. To add this, we need to open the PDM Administration tool and log in to our vault.

DraftSight Free is also no longer available and would not support the PDM add-in. You cannot load the add-in in the DraftSight Standard edition because there is no API support for that version. All plugins run on DraftSight 2021 and the different experience level versions: Standard, Professional, Premium, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus.
